We live and work across cultures on a daily basis, but what IS culture? If you are curious to learn more about the basics of cultural theory/need a refresher and how cultural theory has changed over time, this webinar is for you.
The Details
In this 90 minute session, trainer and coach Jamie Gelbtuch, Founder of Cultural Mixology, will introduce the concept of culture, how we teach and understand it today, review how some methods have changed over time (from Hall to Ting-Toomey), and offer some of the “big names” in cultural theory. We’ll look at a couple of specific intercultural tools so that you can consider how they can be applied to work and life scenarios. We will allow plenty of time for Q&A too. This session also includes a resource guide of recommended reading. This session will be interactive, so plan for an informative and exciting 90 minutes!

What past attendees have said…
“Great points about looking inward as a part of the process of deploying people internationally. The context based communication chart was really helpful and I have come across so many people in the business environment who are completely unaware of what they lose when they rely solely on e-mail to communicate objectives, resolve problems, etc.”– Brian F.
“…Jamie could really synthesize and distill the information in the sources. It made sense, and I enjoyed learning more about the theories of Intercultural communication and how it can apply to daily life. ” – A. E.
