Rise and shine! Wherever you are in the world, the best way to kick off the morning is with a good breakfast!
A 2019 study in the American Journal of Cardiology found that skipping breakfast may be associated with an increased risk of heart disease. Breakfast is not only good for your health, it also sets the tone for your day. Amidst the pandemic, people around the world are struggling to maintain a healthy eating schedule. For example, in Poland over half the participants in a recent study reported they ate breakfast daily. However, in many cases this breakfast was not very nutritional. A third of those surveyed reported they did not eat fresh fruits or vegetables regularly. In a national survey conducted by the University of Florida, 43.8% of respondents reported eating more sweets since the start of Covid-19. Since healthy eating habits can be easily complicated by the pandemic, the meal that starts our day is even more important for our health now.
